Professor Shan’s research interests focus on Distance Teaching Techniques Applied to the Chinese Language, task-based language teaching (TBLT), digital learning, and technology enhanced language learning.

Biography
Limei Shan earned her B.A. in Russian from Northeast Normal University in Changchun, China, and her M.A. in Education from East China Normal University in Shanghai. She later completed an M.Ed. in Globalization and Educational Change, with a concentration in Second Language Acquisition (SLA), at Lehigh University. She also holds a TCSOL certification from Columbia University's Teachers College.
Limei joined Lehigh University as an adjunct lecturer and is now a Teaching Associate Professor of Chinese in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. She teaches all levels of Chinese language courses and plays a central role in developing and delivering the Chinese language curriculum.
Beyond the academic year, she co-leads the Lehigh in Shanghai program and is a certified Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) tester, awarded by ACTFL.
