Partner Institutions & Programs

Exchange agreements with partner institutions are continually being developed in collaboration with the Office of Study Abroad. In addition to Lehigh-approved programs, we offer several exciting Lehigh faculty-led winter and summer programs in China, Martinique, and Spain. Lehigh also offers summer programs through the Lehigh Valley Association of Independent Colleges (LVAIC). Programs are offered in Bonn (Germany), Seville (Spain), and Panama for eight credits each. A faculty member acting as program director accompanies the students. Courses are taught at the intermediate and advanced levels by qualified instructors from host institutions

Don't just take our word for it!

This is what Lehigh Students are saying about their study-abroad experiences:

"I had a wonderful time abroad in Spain. It was a great opportunity to learn about myself and a different facet of my culture. I enjoyed meeting new people and learning about the history of the country. Without the travel grant, my experience wouldn't have been possible. Studying abroad can be expensive, so receiving the grant definitely helped offset some of the costs associated with the experience. I'm very grateful to the Modern Languages and Literatures Department for helping me make my dream of traveling come true." - Kimberly Meija (Madrid, Spain) Spring 2018

"I spent my semester abroad in Cape Town, South Africa for six weeks, and Berlin, Germany for 12 weeks through the CIEE Open Campus program. I had the most amazing time while I was abroad! I got to travel to 11 new countries across two continents, and I had so many great opportunities to learn through cultural immersion. The MLL travel grant was essential in helping me to afford these experiences." - Delaney McCaffrey (Capetown, South Africa and Berlin, Germany) Spring 2018

"After several previous trips to Europe, I was inspired to study abroad in the EU for a full semester! As a Global Studies major and a Russian minor, I chose to study in Daugavpils, Latvia, and it was the perfect location. All my classes were taught in Russian, and I studied Latvian too. I had long conversations with my host family every day and learned a lot, not just about modern Latvia, but also about life in Latvia while it was under the control of the Soviet Union. That gave me access to first-person perspectives I had never had the chance to consider in the past. I recommend studying abroad to everyone!” -Carter McKim (Daugavpils, Latvia) Spring 2022
